Factom Piloting Energy Program with US Energy Department
Washington D.C. — The US Department of Energy and blockchain company Factom are participating in a government program to secure electricity transmission infrastructure. The grant, worth $200,000, will be used to verify that devices connected to the grid have not been afflicted with malware. Factom is also working separately with the Department of Homeland Security to record sensor data and video on the blockchain. Created in 2014, Factom raised over $1 million in 2015 in one of the first token sales.
