Twitter Sticking with Bitcoin
San Francisco — Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Jack Dorsey of Twitter reiterated that he would be sticking with Bitcoin and not pursue a “Twitter-coin.” As companies like Facebook and countries like China are preparing to roll out independent cryptocurrencies, eyes have been on Twitter to create a similar initiative. "I think [Bitcoin's] the best bet because it's been the most resilient, it's around for 10 years, it has a great brand and it's been tested a bunch."
As the CEO of Square Jack has been instrumental in allowing Square users to buy and sell Bitcoin through the mobile app. He is also a financial backer of the Lightning Network, a layer-two solution for increasing the speed and scalability of Bitcoin.
